Authentic and depth oriented
I take an authentic approach to my therapy work, meaning that I show up as a real person in our therapy and avoid the stereotypical therapy trope of a distant, overly intellectual and removed professional. I try to be real because healing happens in real relationships, not in intellectual understanding.
My approach to therapy is rooted in transpersonal and depth psychology. This means that I look at the human psyche as a part of a larger mysterious unfolding within which we weave the webs of our individual lives. Having this wider perspective helps me to hold space for varying and diverse life experiences. I am informed by spirituality, psychology, and the connection between the mind, body and spirit. My work involves helping my clients connect with their higher selves to expand their awareness of themselves and enlighten their viewpoints on their lives.
I earned my master’s degree from the California Institute of Integral Studies in Integral Counseling Psychology and my bachelor’s degree from Mills College in English Literature. During my undergraduate studies, I explored themes of trauma in literature and became fascinated with the ways that trauma lives in individual and collective bodies. After graduating, I discovered my interest and study in trauma perfectly aligned with CIIS’ counseling psychology program and enthusiastically pursued the path of becoming a therapist. Since then I have been endlessly curious and passionate about the psyche, the role of trauma in human life, and how the unconscious and spiritual aspects of reality play out in the human experience.
It is my honor to be a therapist now, and I look forward to continuing my work to help individuals and couples heal through past traumas. I am here to support you to find new insights, perspective and directions in your life.

Therapy is an individualized experience. As a holistic therapist, I practice many different approaches to psychotherapy to make sure you feel supported in your journey.
-
Depth psychotherapy explores what is going on beneath the surface. In depth psychotherapy we ask, “what is really going on here?” rather than just attempting to get rid of whatever symptom you are dealing with in the moment. Depth psychology attempts to get to the root of your psyche to actually tend to your internal world, rather than just putting a bandaid on the problem of the day.
-
Person-centered psychotherapy means that I am going to follow your lead as the expert on your own life. Rather than the therapist trying to fix your problems by giving advice on the way they think things should be, a person-centered approach listens to the clients experience first to try to gain a deep understanding of what it's really like to be you.

Transpersonal psychotherapy focuses on the spiritual dimensions of the human experience. It is interested in speaking to your higher self and integrating your ego with your spirit or soul that is connected to everything. Transpersonal therapy is interested in how inexplicable experiences in life - such as near death experiences, psychedelic experiences, or mystical realizations - can be integrated into the everyday material realm of existence. My transpersonal approach orients me to stay curious about the mystical nature of life, the interconnectedness of each person to the greater world and universe around them.

Gestalt psychotherapy focuses on your ‘here and now’ experience in the therapeutic process. With Gestalt approaches, I will stay actively engaged with your present moment experience and we will explore the intuitive, aesthetic, and somatic dimensions of your experience. Gestalt therapy can help you notice more about your inner workings in the present moment and bring you to a place of deeper self-awareness.

Feminist psychology takes a strength-based and empowerment-focused approach to the therapeutic process. Being a feminist psychotherapist means that I consider and recognize how all societal issues such as gender bias, racial inequality, and oppression, have huge impacts on mental health and personal experiences. Feminist therapy seeks to dismantle power dynamics and support you to reclaim agency in your life. Feminist approaches to psychotherapy privilege a supportive, nurturing approach to therapy, eschewing hierarchies, power dynamics, and bias.
